
Season of Legends is a new Pokémon GO season that runs from March 1 to June 1, 2021. Season of Legends celebrates four legends in Pokémon GO, including new Legendary Pokémon and legendary trainers.
As of this writing, Niantic has shared an introductory blog post announcing the new season. More information will be added to this guide after March 1st and after we have gathered more information.
New legendary and mega raids
This season starts with some legendary Pokémon making their debut with Pokémon GO –Therian Forme Tornadus, Therian Forme Thundurus, en Therian Forme Landorus!
Special research for seasons
By the start of the season, all coaches have access to the Special Research of Season of Legends. Follow Professor Willow as he makes exciting discoveries about Therian Forme Tornadus, Therian Forme Thundurus and Therian Forme Landorus, the first three legendary Pokémon to appear during this season. Complete this special research to earn Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus Candy as well as other rewards.

New Mega Raids
From 1 March different Mega-Evolved Pokémon will appear in Mega Raids, and other Mega-Evolved Pokémon will make their Pokémon GO debut during the season. Watch soon for more details, coaches!
New wild spawns
As the seasons change, different types of Pokémon will appear in the wild in different habitats!
For example, you might see Mantine or Frillish appear near water, or maybe you’ll get on a Voltorb or Glameow while in town! If you happen to traverse near grassy and wooded areas, you may see Hoppip floating peacefully in the air.

Semi-exclusive Pokémon
During this season, the types of Pokémon that occur more frequently exclusively in the northern or southern hemisphere are greatly expanded from the previous season (Season of Celebration)!
Northern hemisphere
In the northern hemisphere you will encounter the following Pokémon in the wild:
- Elevated wild calf: Tangela, Combee, Croagunk, Ducklett, and many more
- Start Sinnoh Region: Turtwig, Chimchar and Piplup
- Rare encounters: Scyther, Dratini and Cottonee
- Seasonal form: Spring Form Deerling
Southern Hemisphere
- Elevated wild calf: Mankey, Yanma, Buizel, Woobat, and many more
- Start Sinnoh Region: Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott
- Rare encounters: Pineco, Bagon and Ferroseed
- Seasonal form: Autumn form Deerling

- Players can only receive increased XP from five-star raids during this season.
- Free Remote Raid Passes are available at certain times during the season. Stay tuned for more information on when these Remote Raid Passes will be available in store!
During the season you have even more opportunities to be legendary! March community day, GO Battle League season 7, brand new events and more are coming. You can also look forward to a series of events towards the end of the season that will definitely be legendary.
