Search and Destroy to Get Final Killcam Back

After a number of player complaints, it appears that the search and destruction mode of Black Ops Cold War is regaining its Final Killcam.

Search and Destroy is one of the most iconic modes of the Call of Duty series. With two teams competing to plant a bomb or defend the bomb sites, players have only a single life to reach their goal.

What’s more, there are no Killcams to look after after your death, for fear of giving up the position of an enemy. This is a very different way that players love or hate.

But even those who like Search and Destroy will see one big difference in the Black Ops Cold War. That is, the game no longer has Final Killcams, but is replaced by a Best Play.

This means that the nail-biter finishes of the Search and Destroy history are sometimes no longer visible to all players. Instead, to the disappointment of everyone, someone will be offered a double kill earlier in the game.

Fortunately, it seems that things will soon change for fans of the Cold War.

Black Ops Cold War Search & Destroy Final Killcam Returning

Twitter user TheMW2Ghost said it best when they wrote about Treyarch killing the Search and Destroy atmosphere. According to the fan, they played the game mode simply to get “an insane random cross card tomahawk” for the Final Killcam.

Now that there is no incentive to play, Search and Destroy has lost its appeal to this gamer. However, Treyarch now confirms that the Final Killcam search and destroys Black Ops Cold War’s return.

In a reply to TheMW2Ghost, Main game designer Matt Scronce confirms that Final Killcam will return. However, it may differ slightly from what longtime players remember.

According to the Treyarch Designer, a hybrid system will combine Best Play and Final Killcam. The system selects a track to show players, based on what ends the round.

This is good news for the Call of Duty community, but they will have to wait until it is implemented before they celebrate. At the moment, there is no ETA on the Final Killcam that returns after the Cold War’s search and destruction.

However, when Treyarch returns from his holiday season, Matt Scronce may be able to provide further updates.

Unfortunately, while Treyarch is gone, the Cold War Black Ops servers are having serious problems. This is especially frustrating for those who want to enjoy the Cold War’s New Year’s Double XP event.

Now that servers seem to be online again, you can quickly unlock the new sledgehammer from Black Ops Cold War. The latest update for the Cold War also adds a new operator to the game.
