The report said last month that the Seahawks would likely cut the defensive end of Carlos Dunlap before a $ 3 million roster bonus would be available early in the new league year and that the move would take place on Monday.
PFT has confirmed several reports that Dunlap will be released. The move will clear more than $ 14 million in salary caps for Seattle.
Dunlap was acquired in a trade deal with the Bengals last season and had five pockets in eight games with the team. He has renewed his contract to convert $ 3 million of the 2020 salary into the bonus he will not receive.
The Seahawks traded a seventh round and offensive linebacker BJ Finney for Dunlap. Finney was released by the Bengals last week.
Dunlap had six bags overall last season and has 87.5 for his career. He will try to add to the total by catching up with a new team.
