Scarlet Witch’s Lullaby gets English translation

As teased by the most advanced WandaVision marketing, it was always assumed that Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) would eventually have twins. The time has now come, with the birth of their children in the most recent episode of WandaVision. There are a few spoilers before “Now in Color”, so be careful if you do not want to watch the latest episode of the program yet!

As soon as the episode starts to calm down a movie and gives Wanda time to take it all in and relax, she starts singing a Sokovian sleep song for the two. Of course, it ends in a quarrel between her and Geraldine (Teyonah Parris), but it’s extraordinary. Although Sokovia is a fictional country created for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some have noticed it (via The direct) the subtitles in selected international languages provide the text in the native language of the relevant market. This means that it is translatable into English.

In one example, those with Portuguese captions are actually served captions for the lullaby in Portuguese instead of the fictitious Sokovian language. Those who have translated it have found that it says, “I have waited for you and this day has come. My heart has become a house full of light, full of light.”

Although the first three episodes of the series burned pretty slowly, Olsen himself said things picked up as soon as Episode Four hit Disney + on January 29th.

“When we started filming this show, we already had nine lyrics, so I do not really need to know what ever happened. It was very specific,” Olsen recently shared with Digital Spy. “I think the reason they’re showing the first episode to the press is because Episode 4 is quite a shift. It’s really a fun perspective change and I think a lot is understood at that moment.”

The first three installments of WandaVision now streaming on Disney +. If you have not yet signed up for the service, you can try it here.
