House Democrats hold the indictment of former President Donald Trump in a ‘Hollywood production’, Steve Scalise, House Minority Whip, R-La, told ‘America Reports’ on Wednesday.

Democrats are arguing their case to convict Trump of a single article of “incitement to insurrection” for remarks he made before the deadly invasion of the U.S. Capitol last month.
“The question is,” said Scalise, “what is the standard? How many times have we seen democratic officials say things that incited things? None of them are charged with things they have said, and many have actually violence against others. people executed. ‘
Since Trump is no longer in office and the coronavirus pandemic is still hitting states in the U.S., the accusation appears to be a gross abuse of congressional time, Scalise said.
