Tragic Saved By The Bell star Dustin Diamond was “never legally married” to ex Jennifer Misner, according to a newly obtained death certificate.
The actor, best known for his role as Screech in teen comedy, passed away on February 1 at home in Florida after a brief battle with lung cancer.
According to a death certificate obtained by TMZ, Diamond was ‘never married’ – despite the fact that many fans believe that he exchanged vows with Misner in 2009 before divorcing in 2013.

The actor also wore a wedding ring before his death, but good friend Dan Block, president of Insurance Kings, insisted that the ring was merely a way to show his commitment to Misner during their relationship.
Block also told the publication that Diamond was increasingly frustrated with Wikipedia because he incorrectly said he was married to Misner.
The actor died just three weeks after being diagnosed with stage four small cell lung carcinoma.

In 2012, Diamond referred to Misner as his wife while speaking in an interview with CityTV in October 2012 about marriage.
Holding his wedding finger up, he says, ‘Happy wife, happy life, my friend! This is the way to do it! ‘
The former couple, who met in Pennsylvania, had previously been sad after Misner had a miscarriage in 2004.
Diamond’s last girlfriend, known as Tash, 39, told DailyMail.com exclusively: ‘He was the love of my life. We planned a future together and talked regularly about having children. I’m sad. ‘

She also shared exclusive photos with DailyMail.com of his mini-Yorkie named Fin visiting him in the hospital and of the couple holding hands.
Tash, a certified pharmacy technician, said she was devastated and her whole world was turned upside down. But she said she would cherish the last time he could talk to her – just one day before he died.

Tash said, “Dustin died at our friend Jules’ house in the Fort Meyers, Florida area.”

He has been admitted to hospital since January and was only released on Monday around noon.
Diamond was still on the gurney in the front room of the house while the hospital worker and their friend Jules were preparing his bedroom when Tash found that he was not breathing.
He was pronounced dead by emergency personnel shortly afterwards.
