The NBC variety show opened with Britney Spears, played by Chloe Fineman, presenting a show called ‘Oops … You Did It Again’, which offers people a platform to apologize for things they did wrong has.
This included senators, governors and former “Star Wars” stars.
“You all know me from my upbeat Instagram videos and the word ‘conservatism,'” Fineman’s Spears said.
“Hello, everyone,” Bryant’s Cruz said. “I’m not brown. I just cried myself red over my fellow Texans.”
Fineman’s Spears noted that Texas was currently going through a difficult situation and that Cruz was literally abandoning it and flying to Cancun.
“And now I’m sitting in some hot water, which I think is something no one in Texas has,” Bryant’s Cruz said.
Fineman’s Spears asked if Cruz wanted to apologize.
“I’m very sorry about my actions over the last few days,” Bryant’s Cruz said. “Mostly United fly.”
The next guest was the New York Government, Andrew Cuomo, played by Pete Davidson.
“Governor, do you know why you are here today?” Asked Fineman’s Spears.
“I did nothing wrong. No one can even explain what I did wrong. Explain it,” said Carano van Strong.
Spears then explained that Carano compared Nazi Germany on social media to the current political landscape.
“All right, congratulations. You explained it, ‘said Carano van Strong.
Bryant’s Cruz then tried to relate to the situation.
“Do not identify with me,” Carano van Strong told Byrant’s Cruz. “I’m strong, and you’re a bunch of soup. I’m first class and you’re a coach.”
Fineman’s Spears had enough then, and she ended the show by saying a little prayer that we should all forgive each other.
“So blessings to all,” she said. “And live … from New York! It’s Saturday night!”
