Sarah Jessica Parker, Miley Cyrus and more show support for Britney Spears following new documentary

The documentary was produced by The New York Times and is called ‘Framing Britney Spears’. This follows the rise of Spears and takes a deep dive into her court order. Spears is currently embroiled in a legal battle with her father, Jamie Spears, who has been serving as the custodian of her finances for more than a decade. Spears says through her attorney that she no longer wants her father in charge of her finances.
Miley Cyrus, Sarah Jessica Parker and Bette Midler are but a few of the big names who showed support for Spears after the film’s debut.
Parker and Midler simple tweeted, ‘#FreeBritney’, a hashtag that has gone viral over the past few years, at the head of a group of pop star fans who believe she should get out of her conservatory.
During Cyrus’ pre-Super Bowl performance on Sunday, she said ‘We love Britney’ while on stage.
Paramore is Hayley Williams tweeted“No artist today has to endure the literal torture inflicted on her by the media / society / women. The mental health awareness conversation, culturally, can never be where it is without the terrible price she paid.”

CNN contacted Spear’s representatives for comment.

The next court hearing in Spears’ battle for her conservatory is on February 11th.
