Santa Clara County has recorded the most cases of coronavirus since the onset of the pandemic, as the state continues to recover from a holiday boom that has not yet reached a peak.

To date, the Bay Area has so far recorded 2,430 new cases for a total of 243,718 cases of the virus, while another 15 people died of the virus the day after Christmas for a total of 2,430 deaths in the coronavirus.
All of the people who died in the Bay on Saturday were in the provinces with the most infections, with Alameda Province killing six and Santa Clara County killing nine.
In the contra-province, officials reported 528 new cases of coronavirus and no new deaths for a total of 38,138 cases and 321 deaths. Although no one was recorded dead, provincial officials said 13 people had died at Christmas.
In the North Bay of four provinces – which include Napa, Solano, Sonoma and Marin provinces – officials reported 377 new cases of the virus and one new death. The area is nearing the milestone of 50,000 cases soon and has recorded 439 deaths.
San Francisco recorded 266 new cases and no new deaths for a total of 21,975 cases and 181 deaths. San Mateo County reported no new cases and no new deaths, and the count remains at 22,241 coronavirus cases and 212 virus-related deaths.
