San Francisco 49ers list with 2021 NFL drafts

The NFL announced compensatory draft picks on Wednesday, completing the 49ers’ available picks for this year’s draft picks.

Although there was some confusion about the number of performances the 49ers got, they ended up with the expected two, giving them ten at the start of the new league year.

It is far from the limited capital that San Francisco equipped last year, when they only landed five players in the seven-round draft. The ten choices will give them the opportunity to add a slew of cost-effective players to rebuild their roster, or to give them the chance to move up and down on Draft Day.

Here’s the 49ers’ updated list of choices:

Round 1, choose 12
Round 2, Choose 43
Round 3, Pick 102 (compensatory)
Round 4, Choose 117
Round 5, Choose 155
Round 5, dial 172 (via New Orleans)
Round 5, select 180 (compensatory)
Round 6, Pick 193
Round 7, select 229 (via New York Jets)
Round 7, select 239

One thing that is striking, except for the number of choices, is where the choices are. The 49ers hold four picks in the top 150, but only two in the top 100 after swapping their third picks in Washington last year in exchange for Trent Williams.

With a loaded back of the concept, do not be surprised if San Francisco uses some of the choices to climb a few times to add more premium talent. It assumes that they carry all ten choices in the concept. With a lot of rumbling about possible trade, the 49ers could end up with another war chest at the start of the draft.
