Samuel Little, the most prolific serial killer in American history, dies

Samuel Little, a serial killer who has pleaded guilty to more than 90 murders across the country and is serving a life sentence, died Wednesday in a California hospital.

Little, 80, was pronounced dead at 4:53 a.m., California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said in a statement.

An official cause of death has not been released and will be determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Little served three life sentences without the possibility of parole for the murder of three women in Los Angeles County in the 1980s.

But he has acknowledged many murders across the country, and the FBI has confirmed him as the most prolific serial killer in American history.
