Samsung once again unveils C-Lab experiments at CES, and this year it reflects the stay-at-home reality of the pandemic. The company has unveiled internal projects that include EZCal, a mobile app that automatically calibrates your TV’s picture quality. You do not have to hire an expert or get a dedicated tool to optimize your screen for movie night, in other words.
Other internal projects are very diverse. Scan & Dive is an “IoT device” (really a scanner) that classifies materials and recommends care options. You can get a better idea of how you can wash your clothes. Food & Sommelier, meanwhile, uses AI to link food and wine to your homemade meals. And if you need to go outside, Air Pocket is a portable oxygen storage device that you can wear on your face mask.
