According to a new report, Samsung will not launch the Galaxy Watch 4. The portable, which has been the center of rumors for the past few weeks, may already be available in the spring, which is just around the corner.
According to HeelalIs, the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be available in Q2 2021. No exact date is shared, but previous reports have suggested a similar time frame, so we believe the devices will launch soon. (It’s already March!)

UniverseIce does not share any other information, but previously the Twitter account said that Samsung will launch a new smartwatch with Wear OS instead of Tizen. If so, it could be a big boost for Google’s portable platform, which has not exactly thrived over the past few months. The launch of a new smartwatch with Wear OS could be a big measure of confidence for the platform, and it could help it compete with Apple’s watchOS.
We’ve heard a few other rumors about Samsung’s next smartwatch, including that it may be equipped with a blood glucose monitor. According to a previous report, the portable optical sensor can be used that can monitor a person’s blood glucose without drawing blood, which is often the trace of someone’s blood sugar. For people with diabetes, this can be a huge improvement over the painful alternatives currently available. By the way, the next Apple Watch could also start with a similar feature.
It was not so long ago when Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch 3, which provides support for ECG, blood pressure monitoring and a number of activity tracking features. The launch of the Galaxy Watch 4 would be much sooner than expected, but if it has the ability to monitor someone’s blood glucose levels, we can see why Samsung wants to launch it sooner rather than later.
