Samsung gives you the chance to find out if the foldable phones are the right choice for you by extending their return period to more than three months. The technology giant has launched a “Buy and Try” app for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, giving you 100 days instead of just 15 to decide whether you want to keep or return the devices. Of course, you first have to buy the phones to get your hands on them, but their prices are now at least slightly lower compared to where they were introduced. The book-shaped Z Fold 2 will give you back at least $ 1450, while the clamshell’s Z Flip 5G recently received a price reduction and now has a starting price of $ 1200 before exchanging.
Both phones sold pretty well last year despite the pandemic. In the company’s earnings report for the third quarter of 2020, it revealed that sales of mobile phones increased by 51 percent over the same period in 2019 due to the launch of flagship devices that include the Z Fold 2.. the first time Samsung launches a mobile app like this, it’s making an effort to sell more people on the foldable pieces. After all, these are not the cheapest phones to buy, and the gum problems of the business with the first Z Fold can still discourage potential customers from making the investment.
