We know a lot about what we do with the Galaxy S21, who is widely believed to be making his debut later this month. But lately we seem to be hearing more about what is there not comes with Samsung’s next flagship.
Last week, it appears that reports confirm the rumor that the Galaxy S21 ships without a charger in some parts of the world, following Apple’s lead over iPhone 12. Now it looks like the Galaxy S21 has something in common with Apple’s phones – apparently there’s no microSD slot for expanding storage on Samsung’s upcoming phone.
The thing comes from the phone-savvy Roland Quandt, who has a good record for details on Samsung’s phones. Quandt taken to Twitter with a simple message: a “memory card reader” is not included on the Galaxy S21 specification page. A subsequent tweet suggested that this would be true for all three Galaxy S21 models, even the expensive Galaxy S21 Ultra.
S21 specifications contain: memory card reader: “No” Some markets can still get a charger in the box, while others do not.31 December 2020
If the microSD slot is really a look, it looks like the emerging phone will make one of the last bastions of classic smartphone design, up there with headphone jacks. Yet it is hardly a surprise. There was no such slot on all the manufacturers’ flagships in 2015, and some Galaxy Note models like the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 20 also missed the feature.
There is potential good news from Quandt, who also notes that some markets may receive chargers in the Galaxy S21 box. According to other sweets, however, it will not include the UK. Nothing is official until Samsung announces the phone.
And it can happen very quickly. Rumors indicate a January 14 launch event for the Galaxy S21, with the phone sent before the end of January. We expect three models – a standard Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra. Samsung has started leasing prospective buyers book a place in the queue to pre-order the “next Galaxy” device.
