At this point, there is a small group of individuals who have actually spent time on the new Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2.. In fact, there are only 4 videos about Samsung’s new Chromebook in total. on YouTube at this time. This is of course due to the scattered, decentralized nature of CES 2021 and Samsung has the luxury of a pretty sweet NYC headquarters where they can still show off their latest technology this year. It would seem that only those in the area should get coverage, so I assume the number of hands-on videos will not grow much in the coming weeks until Samsung gets review units in the hands of reviewers like us.
That said, the first few hands-on videos we do have of the device look pretty complimentary for a Chromebook with a weird name and the things of last year’s extravagant Galaxy Chromebook. As we discussed on the podcast yesterday, Samsung has the chance to refine their expensive Chromebook from last year and make something special if all the pieces are in line, but we will not know if that is the case until we have one to to test.
Fortunately, this group of early videos gives us a little more clarity about the overall feel, look, and experience we can expect with the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2, and we wanted to share some of the videos with you all while we wait for our own review unit. of this interesting Chromebook.

For now, that’s all we can really draw from the videos about the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2. Across the board, the screen really does deliver, the build quality is excellent, the keyboard solid and the color equally striking compared to last year’s model. It’s an impossible call at the moment about how this Chromebook impresses or disappoints when we get it in the office, but I’m now more excited about it than when I first got information about it from Samsung. Did they make the right cuts? Is it a fair price for what is offered? Can it overcome the stigma of disappointing specifications? We will know soon.
