If you’re wondering how Samsung is going to compete with Apple’s popular AirPods Pro, we’ve got some definite proof that new Galaxy Buds are coming soon. And the leak comes directly from Samsung.
As noted by Sammobile this past weekend, Samsung Canada briefly posted information about the Galaxy Buds Pro, a pair of wireless earbuds that are rumored to be working as Apple AirPods Pro competitors. This morning (January 3) the listing disappeared, but it was long enough for the eagle-eyed skeptics to realize that the release of the new earplugs is imminent.
Allegedly, the Galaxy Buds Pro are Samsung’s premium earbuds. Expected features include active noise cancellation, 3D audio to compete with Apple’s spatial audio feature, and an ambient mode to let you hear conversations around you. The Galaxy Buds Pro may also include Dolby Atmos support.
The presentation of the Galaxy Buds Pro on the Samsung Canada website contains few features in the way. All that appears on the list is the product name and model number. We do not even have a price for the upcoming earplugs.
Fortunately, other sources have told us what we can expect in terms of cost for the Galaxy Buds Pro. An earlier Galaxy Buds Pro rumor indicated the price as $ 199, which would be $ 50 off the AirPods Pro.
We can figure out soon enough what features the Galaxy Buds Pro will deliver at what price. The new earbuds are expected to debut with the Galaxy S21 series, and after this story was initially published, Samsung has confirmed that it will hold a March 14 product launch. We expect to see both the new phone and the Galaxy Buds Pro at the time.
