While waiting for the MacBook Pro 2021 to arrive, we learned more about Samsung’s Pro laptop. And they have three features that the following Macs might not do.
This is according to a new report from SamMobile, which reports that the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro will pack 360 OLED panels, have an optional cellular connection and support the S Pen.
The 5G connection is only in the Galaxy Book Pro 360 (probably the 2-in-1 model). The Galaxy Book Pro has optional 4G LTE.
The Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 will be available in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch models and with Core i5 and i7 processors. We expect Samsung to go with the 11th generation Tiger Lake processors, but nothing has leaked on the line yet.
While OLED, cellular connectivity, and stylus support are not new to laptops, they are still strange to MacBooks. It’s a great reminder that while many (us included) are excited about the MacBook Pro, the big reported changes (the return of MagSafe loading, the SD memory reader and a new design) are not that great for the PC world no.
Of these upgrades, there is only one that Apple believes is close to consideration. The company has so far resisted OLED panels, but rumor has it that it is considering Mini-LED panels for this year’s models.
Samsung laptop viewers should also note that the Galaxy Chromebook 2 has just been offered for sale at $ 549 at Best Buy. The model swaps the OLED panel from the original for a QLED screen and wants to offer more battery life as a reward.
