With the Samsung Galaxy A52 and Galaxy A72 now in the world, Samsung can move on to its next affordable mid-range device. This is probably the Galaxy A82, and a new leak of the phone offers a look at the handset, as well as details on some key specifications.
Famous tipster Mukul Sharma posted the photo and information on Twitter, after receiving it from the Google Play Console Developer Tool. We take a good look at the front of the device, but it’s not clear if it’s a true version or a placeholder image.
If the image is real, the phone will use a centered hole to hold the selfie camera. There has been talk that a rotating, pop-up selfie camera is likely to be – similar to the 2019 Samsung Galaxy A80 – so we’ll have to wait and see at that point.
The leak unfortunately does not offer a look at the back of the Samsung Galaxy A82, perhaps the idea is that the included picture is just a general survey, but we expect the aesthetics to follow the lead of the other devices that Samsung offers. so far this year.

On the specs side, it looks like Samsung is going to fit the Galaxy A82 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 chipset, which from 2019 is a minor upgrade from the Snapdragon 855 Plus, with a few extra 5G connections.
It’s the same chip as Xiaomi’s newly introduced Poco X3 Pro, so expect similar performance levels. The chipset will apparently be paired with up to 6GB of RAM, making it a mid-range ranger that can keep up its performance.
Other information we can get from this presentation is that the phone will run Android 11 as you would expect, and that the screen resolution will be 1080 x 2400 pixels, but there is still no word on the dimensions of the screen.
We are also still waiting to hear when the phone will see the light of day, although the Galaxy A82 will appear on the Google Play Console, it should not take too long before Samsung makes all this official information. You did not miss the Galaxy A81 by the way, as it has been reconfigured as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite.
