The Civil Aviation Unit (JAC), approving the operating license number 3 of the American Airlines airline, to connect to the United States with Samana.

The route that will operate from June 5, 2021, will have a frequency of flights per week from Charlotte / El Catey – El Catey / Charlotte, which will carry a maximum of 76 passengers per flight, on an Embraer plane.

“Little by little, the Dominican Republic is returning to its destination as a tourist destination in the Caribbean; and a way to explain the reactivation of the aeronautical sector, is the approval of the new Samana / Charlotte route, which operates American Airlines and other new routes, ”said Marte Piantini, President of the JAC.

In agreement with the Junta de Civil Aviation, the Frontier, Spirit and American Airlines airlines will apply for airline operations permits to include new routes and increase frequencies in other existing ones.

In detail, the Frontier Airlines airline, soliciting the issue of its Operation Permit No. 88, to extend the Miami / Punta Cana / Miami route, with capacity for 186 passengers; with two frequencies during the week: Mondays and holidays, which will work from March, 2021 ”, explained in a communication.

The route will have excellent services with a Boeing 737 and Airbus A-320 with a capacity for 172 and 150 passengers, respectively.
