Salma Hayek came on board to produce A Boob’s Life on HBO Max … about a woman whose breasts start talking to her
A few days before her new film Bliss launches on Amazon Prime, Salma Hayek has staged a bizarre new comedy series on a woman’s breasts.
The 54-year-old actress, according to Deadline, has developed an adaptation of Leslie Lehr’s book A Boob ‘Life as a TV series for HBO Max.
Hayek will be produced by her Ventanarosa Productions company, which has a first look agreement with HBO Max.

New show: The 54-year-old actress has signed on to develop an adaptation of Leslie Lehr’s book A Boob ‘Life as a TV series for HBO Max, according to Deadline
The series will be a half-hour comedy based on a 40-year-old woman named Leslie, whose life deteriorates when her breasts start talking to her.
She is forced to look at herself in a whole new light as the program explores ‘the reality of life in a female body in a culture obsessed with breasts’.
The book A Boob’s Life: How America’s Obsession Shaped Me – and You will be released on March 2 by Pegasus Books.

Talking Box: The series will be a half-hour comedy based on a 40-year-old woman named Leslie, whose life deteriorates when her breasts start talking to her.
Cynthia Mort came on board to write The Pilot, and she will also serve as showrunner and executive producer.
Hayek will have executive products with her Ventanarosa partners Jose Tamez and Siobhan Flynn, and Lehr will also serve as executive producer.
Melissa Oman and Julie R. Snyder are also executive producers under their Wheeler Girl Productions banner.

“In A Boob’s Life, we use breasts as a metaphor for the constant judgment women are subjected to, which creates a collective sensation that it never matters what we do,” she added.
“In this show, we give the breast a voice that takes us through a woman’s life from a unique perspective that we often dare not see,” Hayek concluded.

Hayek is getting ready for a busy year with her new film Bliss, starring Owen Wilson, which debuts on Amazon Prime on Friday.
She also returns as Sonia Kincaid in the sequel to The Hitman’s Bodyguard of 2017, titled The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, starring Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson.
The beloved actress will also make her first turn in the superhero realm and play Ajak in Marvel’s The Eternals, starring Angelina Jolie and Gemma Chan, who debut on November 5th.
