The musician will.i.am and the technological innovation company Honeywell have teamed up to create a new technological face mask that features an impressive array of built-in features.
The high concept XUPERMASK contains a silicone face seal and an elastic band to keep it flat and easily adjustable. It claims to be durable enough to work up to 365 days a year.
The mask is specially decorated with three double-speed fans and a non-medical HEPA filter for breathing. XUPERMASK also offers noise-canceling headphone and microphone functions, Bluetooth connectivity, LED lights and a magnetic earcup coupling system.
‘We have created XUPERMASK to change the game of our new normal, ”will.i.am said in a press release.
The mask, which has a battery life of seven hours, is sold in two colors: white / gray / orange and black / black / orange. It launches on April 8 and can be purchased from the XUPERMASK website.
The product joins a growing list of “smart” face masks that enhance the features of standard face masks. Last month, technology company Razer confirmed that it has begun production of its Project Hazel RGB masks with a detachable fan and wireless charger.
