Saint Petersburg fire and rescue stolen vaccine investigated

Details are scarce, but the fire and rescue services in St. Petersburg confirmed to Spectrum Bay News 9 that the vaccination channels had been stolen.

According to a spokesman for the agency, officials have not yet said how many people were taken or when they were taken, but SPFR has an internal investigation from the St.

Spectrum News also reached out to the mayor’s office for comment.

“We are aware of the allegations and understand that a police investigation is underway,” communications director Ben Kirby wrote in an email.

Our news partner, the Tampa Bay Times, reports that St. Petersburg Fire and Rescue is the vaccination staff at Foundation for a Healthy St. Petersburg help staff.

Last week, a paramedic in Polk County Fire Rescue was arrested and charged with stealing the vaccination vials.

A PCFR captain was later arrested in connection with the case.
