Sacha Baron Cohen’s interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Thursday was quite a ride.
The “Borat” star starred rock star Bono, actor Tom Cruise, rapper Kanye West and Donald Trump Jr. mocked in a deceptive piece that sees him selling COVID-19 vaccines directly.
Baron Cohen’s wife, Isla Fisher, made a wild cameo.
The segment ended with a police attack, a car chase and an accident – while Baron Cohen repeatedly condemned ‘those who may use it to continue’.
Earlier in the interview, Baron Cohen revealed Kimmel’s unintended role in the resurrection of his Kazakh journalistic character for ‘Borat Subsequent Moviefilm’, which was released in October 2020.
Baron Cohen remembers how, after jumping into the role again for a video on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ before the mid-term 2018, he suddenly realized that it would not be impossible to play Borat again.
He asked the author’s room about another film he was working on if there was a new Borat film “we could get out in time for the election” and “about 15 minutes later we had an idea, three days later we have it in a studio. ”
“Wow, that’s amazing,” Kimmel responded to the story.
“So, I thank you, but you are not going to cut,” Baron Cohen replied jokingly.
