Russian diplomats leave North Korea with hand-held trolley

The Russian Foreign Ministry has posted images on its Twitter account showing diplomats from the country and family leaving North Korea on a hand-held trolley due to Pyongyang’s COVID-19 travel restrictions.

The ministry said the photos were taken on February 25 and included eight employees who worked at the Russian embassy in North Korea. The journey was called ‘long and difficult’. One image has suitcases, children and what looked like tired smiles.

The BBC has pointed out that Pyongyang claims he has no coronavirus infections, which international health officials doubt. The country is known for its secrecy. The report said the ministry posted on Facebook that the North Korean border had been closed for a year.
