Russell Wilson would be ‘iconic’ with Chicago Bears

Fans of the Chicago Bears had a bit of fun thinking that the franchise is acquiring star player Russell Wilson – even if it probably won’t happen.

Wilson did not request a trade with the Seattle Seahawks, but there is tension between both sides. The Seahawks remain determined that Wilson will be part of their plans in 2021, but anything could happen in the off-season.

There are four teams on Wilson’s radar – the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders and Bears. And while Chicago may not be the most attractive destination – given the uncertain future of Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy – Wilson would apparently have a chance to turn around a historic franchise like the Bears.

Someone who thinks Chicago would fit in well with Wilson is former Bears receiver Brandon Marshall, someone close to the star full-back.

‘This is a man who wants to win; I have never had a better competitor. He wants to win, and he wants to win with style. The Chicago Bears allow you to do that, ‘Marshall said. First things first, via NBC Sports Chicago.

Marshall, who knows first-hand what it’s like to play in Chicago, has argued his case as to why Wilson should come to the Bears. And he speaks from experience.

‘I was there for 3 years. Amazing place! If you win there, you are iconic, ”said Marshall. ‘This is an iconic franchise; they sit up there in all sports, probably top-10, in brands.

‘So you want to go there, you have a good defense and they give you the keys. And I know they’ve already discussed it internally, about what they can give up and what they are willing to do for Russell to be comfortable. ”

Unfortunately, Marshall ranked the Bears last among the four teams on Wilson’s shortlist. But can we really blame him at this point?

Although none of this would matter if Pace Wilson landed somehow, which would immediately be the franchise’s best quarterback in history. Let it happen, Tempo.
