“This is the problem with children these days. No focus,” the actor shoots back.
Twitter users who think they might get a joke at Russell Crowe’s expense may want to think twice before posting a joke.
Earlier this month, a Twitter user made a joke for some, making a rude remark about others over the 2003 war adventure email Master and Commander: The Farthest Side of the World, starring Crowe.
“Many people complain about lack of sleep during the pandemic. May I recommend Master and Commander to draw the attention of the Russell Crowe, who is usually captivating. I have never made it past the ten minute mark. You are “And thank you, Russell,” wrote the Twitter user. To his credit, Twitter user Crowe did tag in the message so it would not get lost among the brutal twitter verses.
Crowe finally saw it and responded Saturday night. He clearly did not find the comments about the film nominated by Oscar cute.
“This is the problem with children these days. No focus. Peter Weir’s film is brilliant. A demanding, detail – oriented, epic tale of allegiance to Empire and service at all costs. Incredible cinematography by Russell Boyd and a majestic soundtrack. Definitely a movie for adults, ‘he wrote.
In the film, which was nominated for 10 Oscars, Crowe stars Captain Jack Aubrey of the HMS Surprise. Aubrey and the crew, set in 1805, were tasked with hunting and capturing a powerful French vessel.
