In an allegation that builds on the comments made earlier by Bloober Team that they are working on a new horror game with a ‘very well-known game publisher’, Video Games Chronicle updated its story with the allegation that the Japanese publisher Konami is planning to outsource its Metal Gear Solid. and Castlevania franchises that other developers can use. Any new entries in the two series are gone for years to come, but it is said that bosses at the company are more open to the idea of having external teams work on the IPs after the poor performance of Metal Gear Survive and Contra: Rogue Corps .
According to VGC, it was a change in heart that led to the development of the Silent Hill franchise by a ‘leading Japanese developer’.
