Speculation about the rumors surrounding pro-wrestling is a popular pastime for many fans, perhaps the second to watch the matches. In this daily column we take a look at the latest rumors being expressed by the pro wrestling backstory.

Important reminder: rumors are just that – rumors. None of this has been confirmed as a fact, it just circulates around the rumor mill. We track rumors of accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back, which you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the day:

  • According to Fightful, some people in WWE were hopeful that Goldberg would improvise lines in his promotion Raw to make up for the promotion of Drew McIntyre being cut, but Goldberg did not move from the original text.
  • Fightful also says that there is no heat from WWE on Snoop Dogg after his appearance on AEW Dynamics this week.
  • On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez said Nick Jackson was worried he broke his leg during Dynamics‘s opening fight, which is why he did not use a superkick during the Bullet Club reunion. It turns out Jackson only has one leg contusion, and he’ll never miss it.
  • PW Insider notes that the injury to Timothy Thatcher is a work in progress. NXT decided to push the Fight Pit back, and they sustained a kayfabe Thatcher injury to explain the decision.

  • Insider was told that Carlito turned down WWE’s offer to appear on Legends Night because he did not want to travel the country just for a quick spin.
