Rumor Roundup: Andrade agreement, NXT match cut, reaction from WrestleMania fans

Speculation about the rumors surrounding pro-wrestling is a popular pastime for many fans, perhaps the second to watch the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being spread by the pro-wrestling backstory.

Important reminder: rumors are just that – rumors. None of this has been confirmed as a fact, it just circulates around the rumor mill. We track the accuracy of rumors in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back, which you can find here. Remember, take it all with a pinch of salt.

Rumors for the day:

  • According to Fightful, Andrade was contacted about possible non-WWE appearances on WrestleMania weekend, but it is unclear whether any agreements have been reached.
  • The website also says that Io Shirai’s main match on night one of TakeOver: stand and deliver was cut for time because one of the earlier matches in the night went long.
  • Ringside News has been told that there have been no discussions in WWE about concerns that fans may cheer or boo the wrong wrestlers this weekend WrestleMania 37.

  • Chris Jericho recently mentioned on Talk is Jericho that the TNT network was not happy with Sting’s surprise debut Dynamics in December, because the network prefers ratings over surprises. That’s why the signing of Paul Wight was announced on social media and why they teased Christian as a mystery drawing.
  • On the Come over podcast, Drew McIntyre mentioned that the face paint he wore Fast track was his idea, but he did not approve it by Vince McMahon until the program was already on air at 7pm ET.
