Resident Evil 4

Anonymous sources claimed that the Resident Evil 4 remake was partially reloaded, after developer M-Two stuck to the original due to feedback on Resident Evil 3 (2020).

As previously reported, VGC that “Various development sources” do they have a remake of Resident Evil 4 is in production, and will be launched in 2022. “Dusk Golem”, a leak that previously provided information about Resident Evil 8 rumors that turned out to be true also had information about the alleged Resident Evil 4 remaster.

In summary, rumors claim that the game will be handled by M-Two, which was involved in the development of Resident Evil 3 (2020). It is also said that many former Capcom and PlatinumGames employees are involved, and the game will be launched in 2022 or later.

The Capcom leaks in 2020 have claimed a VR version of Resident Evil 4 is also running, exclusively for Oculus devices. Those leaks did come true, such as Resident Evil Village that DLC is called ‘Ethan’s Trauma’ (turns out to be a pre-order bonus), and what could be called a Battle Royale multiplayer game Re: Verse Resident Evil.

Now VGC has reported on new information from “various sources“And”people with knowledgeAbout M-Two. They claim M-Two’s role was “Significantly reduced,” and that the principal Resident Evil developers (Division 1 of Capcom, including those behind devil may cry) now takes the game in a new direction.

This came after a major project review in late 2020, apparently due to M-Two’s desire to (in the words of VGC) “True to the original Resident Evil 4 template.” This was partly motivated by feedback from Resident Evil 3 (2020).

While critics praised it, fans had a more mediocre response [1, 2, 3]. Criticism included how the game cut across several areas found in the original original, and that it was generally a step away from the remake Resident Evil 2 (2019). Our review also condemns the lack of repeat value, because it is fairly short, and the limited level design. However, it praised the graphics and the story.

Capcom’s production team apparently wants the Resident Evil 4 remake to be inspired by the original, but (in VGC’s own words) “With its own unique features, story elements and environments that are not necessarily limited to the blueprint of the original, similar to Resident Evil 2’s use of Mr. X. ”

Sources told VGC that the remake will be partially reloaded, with a release date being moved back to 2023. Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Resident Evil 3 (2020).

Resident Evil 4 has always received great praise from almost all the ports [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9]. As such, it is understandable why “another haven” sours for players and even investors; even with the game being carefully built from the ground up, but with new graphics.

The popularity of the game, but no news about the remake during the Resident Evil display window can also confirm that the game has been delayed for announcement.
