It may take a few more months before Disney’s Magic Kingdom is flooded with thousands of tourists again, but Disney hopes millions of others will seek a different kind of vacation to the happiest place on earth. According to Hollywood Reporter, For all mankind creator Ronald D. Moore is apparently at the forefront of developing a universe of projects based on (what else?) Disney’s “parks and classic movies” for Disney +.

Known for his work on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, and his current speculative NASA drama on Apple TV, Moore’s upcoming Disney + franchise is believed to be in the universe of ‘Disney’s beloved Magic Kingdom’. The franchise will include a television program, The Association of Explorers and Adventurers, which takes place “in a world where all the theme countries and characters of the Disney parks and classic movies exist in a different reality.” Moore will write the series and produce executive.

Per THR, Moore also works with the Disney Imagineering Team to explore what existing Disney characters, park attractions or classic movie properties can serve as a starting point for a movie or TV show, Pirates of the Caribbean-style. To do this, Moore is already working on a Swiss Robinson family series with Crazy Rich Asians director John M. Chu.

Moore and Disney probably filled a vault with ideas, but if they want our two cents, we want to drive the idea for an alternative history Congress drama with a young Bob Dole. Stay with us. The title? Dole Whip.
