El puertorriqueño Roberto Clemente, pelotero cuyo nombre quedó escrito a la posteridad por la manner en que murió en un gestión ayuda al projimo, es una des 250 figuras que seran honradas con un statuat de el Jardín Nacional de los Héroes Americanos, proyecto commisionado por el saliente presidente de United States, Donald J. Trump.
In an executive order with the closing of this Monday, January 18, Trump reiterated the intention of the project, which is the original idea given dates, July 3, 2020.
Following the Trump proposal in the recent executive order, “In all this nation, the fairy in the grandeur and the union of the United States has attacked in the last months and years by an anti-North American extremist extremism that seeks to dismantle history, institutions and the identity of our country.”
The President mentions various incidents of violent vandalism against monuments, and explains that the Jardín Nacional is one of the ways of responding to these acts.
In the Executive Order 13934 of July 3, 2020 (Construction and Reconstruction of Monuments to the Heroic States), institutes the policy of the United States to establish a park called the Jardín Nacional de los Héroes Americanos (Jardín Nacional). To start the construction process of this new monument in the grandeur of our country, establish the interinstitutional work group for the construction and reconstruction of monuments in the working area (Work Group) and arrange to plan it as a member. The Working Group informed me that it had completed the first phase of its work and was preparing to follow suit. This Ordinance revises Executive Order 13934 and proposes additional instructions to the Working Group ”, part of the document published by Casa Blanca in its official Internet page.
Among the personalities that contrast with a statue are the icon of jazz Louis Armstrong; one of the pioneers of the animation industry, writer and producer Walt Disney; the astronaut Neil Armstrong; Clara Barton, founder of the American Red Cross; the philosopher, theologian and preacher Jonathan Edwards; the scientist and inventor of the telephone Alexander Graham Bell; el también inventor Thomas Alva Edison; the first female pilot to cruise the Atlantic in aircraft, Amelia Earhart; the scientific genius and philosopher Albert Einstein; the magnate empresario Henry Ford; the singer, musician and actor Elvis Presley (the Rey del Rock and Roll); y el cantante y product or musical Fran Sinatra; as well as multiple presidents of the United States, led by the first, George Washington.
Clemente is not the only sportsman to appear in the Jardín Nacional. Also starring are Muhammad Ali, Herb Brooks, Jesse Owens, Kobe Bryant, Lou Gehrig, Vince Lombardi, Jackie Robinson, Babe Ruth, Jim Thorpe, and Cy Young.
“The Jardín Nacional is being built to reflect the impressive splendor of our country’s ancient exceptionalism. “There will be a place where citizens, young people and mayors will be able to renew their grandiose vision and sum up the challenge that all stadiums have in my first speech before the Congress,” Trump said in the document.
The group of figures to be reunited with will be the only Puerto Rican to Clemente, who failed while on the sea in the aviation in which he led leaders to help damn the December 1972 Nicaraguan earthquake. The boricua was the first Latin American driver to score 3,000 hits in the Big League baseball, and the first to be exalted at the Family Salon in Cooperstown, New York.
“Visitors will come and tell you all about the history of some of the best stadiums we have ever seen. The Jardín Nacional has a list of heroes who are honored, rewarded and paid tribute by the battles that are won, the ideas that are defended, the diseases that are curated, the lives that are salvaged, the altars that are raised and the hope that is lost ”.
Part of the work of the group designated for this project consists in identifying the appropriate site for the establishment of the Jardín Nacional, following the executive order.
“The Secretary of the Interior shall provide funds, in accordance with the agreements made available and the applicable law, for the establishment and maintenance of the Jardín Nacional”.
