Riverside County Residents 65 and Older and Essential Workers Eligible for COVID Vaccine

Riverside County has confirmed that people 65 and older, as well as some essential workers, can start getting their coronavirus vaccine, according to the county’s website.

According to the province’s website, vaccines are available for employees working in Phase 1A – all levels, Phase 1B – Level 1, and people aged 65 and over.

Level 1B includes law enforcement, education, food and agriculture and emergency services

PLEASE NOTE:

  • For employees in Phase 1A and 1B – Level 1, need an appointment and employee ID badge / letter from place of employment, otherwise you will not be vaccinated
  • For 65 years and older, an appointment and ID are required. You can call the Riverside County Office of Aging at 800-510-2020 or 2-1-1.

The clinics will provide free vaccines, but those who show up must register before arrival and provide proof of eligibility (license plate, business identification, employer’s proof letter).

Information on medical insurance will be requested. 65-year-olds and older who need help making an appointment can call the Riverside County Office of Aging at 800-510-2020 or 2-1-1.

A clinic opens at the Indio Fairgrounds on Sunday, January 17th. This location is a clinic for start-ups. You still need to register to be vaccinated.

An uprising clinic in Lake Elsinore that opens Saturday is for 65-year-olds and older ONLY.

This comes after Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the residents would immediately allow residents aged 65 and older to get rare coronavirus vaccinations.
