County spokesman Brooke Federico said Thursday, Feb. 4, that Riverside County offers about 34,000 coronavirus vaccinations at 31 clinics for 80-year-olds.
Previously, the country offered shots to those 85 and older in a move from the earlier vaccination strategy. Recent appointment windows have focused on the elderly.
To make an appointment, go to www.rivcoph.org/COVID-19-Vaccine-with-Registration. The registration links for clinics take users to the state registration portal, where no appointments may be available once users have completed registration.
80 and older who need help making an appointment can call 211 or 951-329-4703.
Appointments are required to get the vaccine and proof of age is required at the time of the appointment. Clinics for adults 80 years and older begin on Monday, February 8, and clinics may change due to the availability of vaccines.
