Registration begins Thursday, Jan. 21 at noon for six more coronavirus vaccination clinics in Riverside County.
After receiving 26,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine this week, provincial officials plan to distribute 3,900 of the doses through clinics in Perris, Lake Elsinore and Indio to residents in Phases 1A (all levels) and 1B (Level 1), which someone 65 include. and older. The rest of the 26,000 doses are being distributed to private providers, province spokesman Brooke Federico said.
The dates and places are:
- Friday 22 January and Saturday 23 January at The Diamond Stadium, Diamond Drive 500, Elsinore Lake. The Friday clinic is for 65-year-olds and older only.
- Sunday, Jan. 24 and Monday, Jan. 25 at the Perris Fair, Lake Perris Drive 18700. The Monday Clinic is for adults 65 and older only.
- Saturday, January 23 and Sunday, January 24 in the Fullenwider Auditorium at the Indio Fairgrounds, 46350 Arabia St.
The clinics will be open from 8:30 to 16:00
Appointments can be made online at www.ruhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine. 65-year-olds and older who need help registering can call 211.
Vaccines will be changed for free, but those vaccinated must make appointments and register before they arrive. They must also provide proof of eligibility – a work badge, business ID or proof of employment from their employer – and health insurance information will be requested but not required. 65 and older must provide proof of their age, such as a driver’s license.
