Rite Aid Scheme Vaccination for Jackson County Residents Eligible to Receive

JACKSON, MI – Pharmacies at Rite Aid in Jackson County are now offering COVID-19 vaccinations to eligible residents, according to a Jackson County Department of Health social media post.

On Friday, February 12, Jackson Rite Aid pharmacy locations began administering vaccinations to people in the current groups, which include health care providers, first responders, emergency workers and those 65 and older.

Stocks remain limited as pharmacy doses of COVID-19 vaccine doses are allocated by state and local jurisdictions.

Rite Aid relies on qualifications from the state and local jurisdiction to be eligible for the vaccine. Jackson County residents can click here to find the necessary form to schedule an appointment through Rite Aid. All answers on the form must be accurate, otherwise the appointment may be canceled.

According to Rashmi Travis, spokeswoman for the Department of Health, on February 11, 27,075 doses were administered to residents of the county by the Jackson County Department of Health, Henry Ford Allegiance Health, pharmacies and other providers. The Department of Health has administered an estimated 5,000 doses, Travis said.

The Department of Health is currently offering drive-through vaccine clinics in the Jackson County Department of Transportation garage at 2400 Elm Road.
