Disco Nunu is back on the Rift and he took some friends along for an out-of-this-world party.
Riot has the League of Legends champions who will grace the new Space Groove skin series, each wearing intergalactic 1980s outfits and animations. This skinline seems to be coming loose in two waves, with eight skins confirmed for Nunu and Willump, Nasus, Rumble, Lux, Samira, Blitzcrank, Lulu (with a Prestige Edition), and the undisputed upcoming AP track fighter.
Nunu, Rumble and Lulu have adopted new alien looks that make them look ready to break down on the dance floor – complete with flashy, psychedelic neon colors and futuristic machine parts. Lulu will also be receiving the Prestige Edition skin from this event and giving her some cool new gold shades.
But it’s not just strangers who are making their debut in this skin-themed skinline. Blitzcrank and Nasus are now becoming barrels controlled by a cat and a dog, respectively. These furry friends meow and bark when their abilities are used and even come out to play with their robotic bodies in their memory animations.
Lux and Samira look like interstellar pop idols straight from the very world of Sega Space channel 5. Their abilities have been completely transformed to display the cosmic dance powers they have acquired, with little strange friends even joining them to cheer them up. And as with many League skin lines, their weapons are actually just cute little strangers too.
The eighth sheet in the Space Groove series has yet to be officially unveiled, but it will likely be unveiled along with the unveiling League‘s next champion. Next to these skins will be the Space Groove event, with the return of one-for-all and a new battle pass that players can buy.
Players can look forward to experiencing new cosmic vibrations when the Space Groove skins are released this spring.
