Ring’s leaked Pro 2 video doorbell may offer higher resolution

Ring is apparently ready to release the second generation version of its high-end Pro video doorbell, based on an offer that went up on Best Buy Canada. That list has already been removed, but not before Zatz Not funny! could take screenshots with the features shown on the page. The Ring WiFi Video Doorbell Pro 2 seems to have a 1,536p video resolution for ‘extended head-to-eye view’ to make it easier to see who’s at the door and to see if there ‘ a package awaits you.

As noted in the publication, this means that the model could be a direct competitor to Arlo’s Essential Video Doorbell, with a resolution of 1,536 x 1,536 and a viewing angle suitable for visitors from head to toe or packages on the floor to see. The Pro 2 also has two-way conversations and quick answers, as well as 3D motion detection that can sense movement in the environment. The page that was now deleted listed the device for CA $ 325 ($ 256), which is equivalent to the price of the first Pro doorbell. The page also showed the release date of Marc 31st, but it could very well be just a placeholder date.
