Ring’s video doorbells are one of the most advanced on the market. The existing Video Doorbell Pro already includes a number of features, including a 1080p camera and a built-in infrared sensor. The new generation builds on that and adds extra technology, making it one of the best products in its category.

The company has developed two new features, called 3D motion detection and Bird’s Eye View, which are offered exclusively on the Video Doorbell Pro 2. They use a radar sensor to identify objects and people and accurately determine their distance to the camera. As a result, you can adjust the motion detection alerts to be activated only when a visitor is close enough to your door, thus preventing you from being notified when a car passes by.

The radar sensor also powers the Bird’s Eye View feature, which builds an aerial map of the path someone followed before coming to your door. The latter can be reviewed directly or in your event history if you have a Ring Protect subscription.

In addition, the new doorbell has a 1536p camera, which offers a video-to-video format, so you can better see who is with you and what they are possibly wearing, as shown above. The Video Doorbell Pro 2 also features enhanced audio and a variety of microphones, which help you speak clearly to potential visitors and limit sound distortion.

The Video Doorbell Pro 2 also features the amazing features of its predecessor, such as end-to-end coding, customizable Motion Zone detection, Alexa Greetings and Smart Replies.

The Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 can be pre-ordered at Ring.com and Amazon.com for $ 249.99. It will start shipping on March 31st. If the new features are not relevant to you, the price of the original Ring Video Doorbell Pro is now $ 169.99, making it cheaper if you do not need the radar sensor and enhanced sound.
