‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ star D’Andra Simmons is bedridden in a hospital due to COVID-19 – the first cast from the Bravo series shows who got sick.
Simmons’ condition was first announced by the podcast host Kate Casey, which says … “Just heard from D’Andra and she asks your prayers. She’s in the hospital and struggling.”
A rep for D’Andra has confirmed that she is in a bad condition.

According to the representative, D’Andra was admitted to the COVID ward at UT Southwestern Hospital. It’s unclear when she contracted the virus, or how long she’s been in hospital … but her team says her oxygen levels are borderline and that she’s starting Remdesivir.
This is one of the antiviral drugs that President Trump gave when he came down with COVID – part of the cocktail therapy that he said helped him recover quickly.
Simmons’ diagnosis and health status are remarkable, as she appears to be the only ‘real housewife’ to be booked and treated for coronavirus. Others have had it – including ‘RHOBH’ stars Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton and Dorit Kemsley, but no one needed hospitalization.
As we reported, Bravo production teams took several steps to keep the various ‘housewives’ as safe as possible. They need masks for everyone who is not on camera, they do temporary investigations, they mostly shoot outdoors … and everyone is encouraged to spread out. Yet, despite this, some stars and others on the set have captured it.
As for D’Andra … she’s been an important part of the Dallas iteration of the series for years, and fans love her. Get well soon!
