Thomas Girardi, the husband of Erika Jayne, was diagnosed with the onset of Alzheimer’s disease amid the divorce and a number of lawsuits against him.
In addition to being married to the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, Girardi, 81, is a well-known lawyer in California. Although online records viewed by Fox News show that he is currently “not eligible to practice law” as of Tuesday, March 9th.
A statement from Girardi’s doctor on Wednesday in his ongoing conservatory case states that the reality TV star’s estranged husband is currently, in addition to dementia, ‘contracting Alzheimer’s disease’.

The doctor notes that Girardi is unable to attend court hearings in his lawsuits because his “dementia impairs his ability to understand the trial.”
Girardi also suffers from ’emotional distress’, says the doctor, which is ‘directly related to his dementia and exacerbated by his confusion’.
In February, a judge named Girardi’s brother, Robert Girardi, closed his conservatory over allegations that he was suffering from memory loss.

The news about Tom’s conservatism comes amid his increasing lawsuits and divorce of the reality star. Jayne, who is also a singer and performing artist on Broadway, announced her divorce in November.

The couple has been married for 21 years. In her petition for divorce, Jayne asked her husband to cover her legal costs and provide marriage support. Girardi reportedly asked the court to deny the request of the reality TV star.
