Respawn reveals early patch notes for Apex Legends season 8

Season 8 of Apex Legends kicks off in a few days, and before the full notes, Respawn has revealed some details on what fans can expect.

Season 8, Mayhem, fast approaching Apex Legends, and there are a lot of changes coming. Not only do players get the bomb-tastic new legend Fuse, but also a heavily redesigned King’s Canyon, a new weapon, legendary lovers, changes to matchmaking and classic gameplay, and more. Here’s all that developer Respawn Entertainment has announced so far before the full notes are expected before or on Tuesday.

As announced last week, season 8 will bring a new weapon Apex Legends, the first one since season 6. This new semi-automatic heavy weapon called 30-30 Repeater, shoots faster than a longbow, but slower than a G7, with a similar bullet drop as the G7. The 30-30 can also charge, similar to the triple Take choking, and will be able to inflict about 35% more damage on each shot.

Respawn also announced the changes that will take place in the rankings. Ranking (RP) is now handed out in the top-13 in a match instead of the top-10, and more points are awarded for killings and assists, in addition to increasing the time period for assistants from 7 to 10 seconds. These changes, along with improvements to the rankings, are to help players get to the rank that suits them faster. Diamond Roads will also return at the end of season 8.

As for the legends, it is confirmed that several legends change at the start of season 8, or as confirmed by Senior Game Designer Daniel Klein, Rampart’s tactical wall will eventually have HP during construction, to stop it from happening so easily be destroyed. Wraith will get a nerve, probably in the form of a hitbox adaptation, a controversial decision that Respawn had to defend, given Wraith’s high profit rate and popularity among fans.

Finally, King’s Canyon will return, albeit in a strongly reworked form. ApexThe first card was absent for most of season 7 because it was removed due to complaints from players about balancing problems. It now returns as King’s Canyon is wiped out, a result of the leader of Salvo’s attempt to kill Fuse for betraying the planet by joining the Syndicates Apex Games. The game’s trailer pointed to the removal of Slum Lakes and the addition of a new area in the northern part of the map.

There is also growing evidence that the previously delayed Switch version of Apex Legends will have a surprise release in February. There are also reports based on data information that there will soon be a fundraising event with a commemorative theme to commemorate it Apexsecond anniversary on 4 February.

Apex Legends is free to play on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series S & X, with Switch and mobile versions in development.
