Respawn confirms Caustic nerf coming to Apex Legends in the near future

Respawn Entertainment has brought Apex Legends to almost every platform under the sun, leaving many people wondering if the developers would add the progression of the game as well. It is not currently available, but it may change.

As the battle king now boasts everything from steam to the Nintendo switch, cross-progression savings are becoming more desirable for players with multiple platforms.

Cross-progression allows players to link their accounts on different platforms. It gives people the opportunity to seamlessly access their unlocked content from one device to the next, which means you do not have to start a new account for everyone.

The feature has been somewhat applied to Apex Legends, giving members of the community a taste of how comfortable it can actually be in applying it.

Apex Legends players asked well for cross progress before migrating to Steam and Switch.

Does Apex Legends have cross-progression?

At the moment, Respawn has yet to find any way to introduce cross-progression royally into their battle royally. Players on a computer do this, however. If you originally played Apex on Origin, you can link your account to Steam and transfer your progress.

But the same cannot be said for the PlayStation 4/5 and the Xbox series consoles, not even the Nintendo Switch. There is no way to transfer your account between these platforms.

Respawn said that it’s easier (to implement cross-progression) with Steam because it’s at launch, ‘as opposed to merging savings between Xbox and PlayStation accounts, as’ users may have multiple accounts to merge or to use ‘, according to Respawn Game Director Chad Grenier.

This is a striking failure for one of the most popular battle royals on the market. And it’s not lost on the developers either.

Cross Progress is somewhat available in Apex Legends for Steam and Origin.

When will cross progression come to Apex Legends?

Respawn has touched on the subject several times, and it is becoming more and more promising that Apex Legends will one day have cross-progress to make the transition between platforms easier for players.

Following the announcement of Apex on Nintendo Switch on March 9, Apex Legends director Chad Grenier has given an update on the possibility of cross-progression.

‘I will never say [cross-progression] is not possible, but it’s definitely more challenging to add cross-progression to a game that’s been around for 2 years. Many people have accounts on different platforms, and it is a challenge with many pros and cons to figure out what is the best way to select or merge the account data. We’re definitely researching cross-progression, and that’s something I think would be good for the game, but it’s probably still a way to go. ”

In late November, Respawn director Jason ‘Monsterclip’ McCord responded to a request for it: ‘We hear from you and know that people want it. I want it too. However, we can not talk about something that has not yet been announced. ”

You can be sure that the developers of Apex Legends are going to look at the best way to implement cross-cutting on all major platforms broadly, but will only learn the time when it will actually come.
