Resident Evil Village is coming to Stadia, and Google will give you free hardware if you buy this version

We already knew Resident Evil Village will be released on a slew of platforms, including the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. And today, Google announced that the game will also be coming to Stadia. To encourage you to purchase this version, Google is offering a free Stadia Premiere package to anyone who pre-orders Resident Evil Village before 21 May. The promotion is available for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Resident Evil Village, which cost $ 60 and $ 70 respectively.

Google’s Stadia Premiere Edition is usually $ 100 and features a white Stadia controller, a Chromecast Ultra, and for new users a one-month trial subscription to Stadia’s Pro-tier service. Stadia Pro features 4K streaming and a growing collection of free games, similar to Sony’s PlayStation Plus service.

Google had a similar promotion last year when it offered complimentary hardware if you pre-ordered the Stadia version Cyberpunk 2077. The Resident Evil Village promotional announcement comes at an interesting time as Stadia’s future looks questionable. In February, Google closed its in-house Stage Development Studio. The same month, reports from Bloomberg and Wired sheds light on some of the failures of the technology giant to build its cloud gaming platform.

Previously Resident Evil Village Arriving on May 7, Google also announced today that Stadia Pro members can use a free copy Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition when the game starts on April 1 on the cloud game service.
