Resident Evil to get a new wave of TUBBZ Cosplay Ducks

Fans of Capcom’s Resident Evil franchise will soon have a bunch of new collectibles, thanks to the next wave of Numskull Designs’ TUBBZ series. In the first wave were ducks that played as Chris and Claire Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy and Jill Valentine. With the main heroes of the franchise out of the way, Wave 2 will focus on a few other notable faces: Ada Wong, Nemesis, HUNK, Tofu and the Merchant of Resident Evil 4. All five are now available to pre-order and are expected to be released in April. The new additions should be quite exciting for longtime fans of the video game series!

A preview for the TUBBZ toy can be found in the Tweet below.

All in all, it looks like a very cool wave for the TUBBZ figures. It’s a little shocking to see such a cute way of destruction as the Nemesis, but the series often features horror-inspired characters. Since Leon was released in the first wave, it only makes sense to him Resident Evil 4 allies Ada Wong and the Merchant to get a similar treatment. Maybe the Chainsaw Ganado could make the cut for Wave 3! Of course, if anyone really deserves the cosplay duck treatment, it’s Albert Wesker. The villain has been hitting stars since the first entry into the franchise, and the line just feels a little empty without him.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Resident Evil franchise, and Capcom is celebrating it in a number of exciting ways. Fans it Resident Evil Village to look forward to in May, as well as the release of a brand new Resident Evil movie in theaters in September. The latest wave of Resident Evil figures from the TUBBZ series is just one way fans can celebrate the survival horror series in 2021, but it looks like there will be many more before the year is over!
