Report: Titans Trade Isaiah Wilson with Dolphins

USA TODAY Sports

The Titans gave up former first-round pick Isaiah Wilson and sent him to the Dolphins on Monday, NFL Media Ian Rapoport reported.

The Titans will get a seventh-round pick in 2021, while the Dolphins will get a seventh-round pick in 2022 along with Wilson, according to Albert Breer of SI.com.

This is a low-risk, high-reward acquisition for the Dolphins.

Tennessee used the 29th overall pick on Wilson last spring, but he made more hits from the field than on it.

Wilson, who turned 22 last month, played just four snaps as a rookie. His first season included a DUI arrest, a suspension for breaking the team rules, a few tournaments on the reserve / COVID-19 list and the placement on the non-football list to address personal issues.

Titans general manager Jon Robinson recently said Wilson must make a ‘decision’ if he wants to play pro football. Shortly afterwards, Wilson posted a tweet and removed that he was ready for the Titans.

Wilson was, as it turns out, correct.

He now gets the chance to start in Miami again.
