When Russell Wilson, the Seahawks quarterback, became known for his desire to have a voice in staff decisions and his frustration at being overly affected earlier this month, word spread that the Seahawks were unhappy about it, and it made some wonder whether it was the first step to the departure of the team.

Wilson said the question of whether he is available in a trade should be answered by the Seahawks, and teams have reportedly asked. Michael Silver of NFL Media reports that a third of the league called the team on the possibility of a Wilson trade.

Silver adds that the teams were convinced that the starting point for serious talks would be three first-round picks. This is a little different from what was said earlier this month that there was no chance the team would trade with Wilson, although it is unclear if anyone is willing to move the number of assets in Seattle.

To trade Wilson, the Seahawks would have to take $ 39 million worth of dead money on their hood, although they would wait to process a deal until after June 1, pushing $ 26 million into the 2022 season. Silver also reports that the Seahawks got the message from Wilson and that there is an opportunity to ease his concerns before any trade would be on the table.
