Last week, the report brought in that the Eagles did not allow the Eagles to interview the coordinator of the special teams, Dave Fipp, but the appointment of a new head coach in Philadelphia apparently led to a change of heart as far as Fipp was concerned.

Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Lions are now expected to appoint Fipp to manage special teams on head coach Dan Campbell. He joins as assistant head coach Duce Staley as coaches moving the Eagles to the Lions this season.

Fipp has been with the Eagles since 2013 and has worked during that team under Chip Kelly and Doug Pederson. He was an assistant coach for special teams at the Dolphins in 2011 and 2012 when Campbell coached the team.

The appointment of Fipp will fill all three of the chord spots in the Lions staff. Former Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn will commit the offense and Aaron Glenn, former Saints defensive coach, will be on the other side.
