The family of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant has reportedly asked NBA teams and the league not to pay tribute to the one-year anniversary of Bryant’s passing.
Bryant tragically died in a helicopter crash on January 26 last year.
If you notice, there is a lack of official tributes from organizations and the # NBA this week for Kobe Bryant, it’s because his family asked that teams not pay tribute this year. @ kron4news

Bryant’s death has rocked the basketball world, but it seems his family is still not comfortable with the league that still respects it.
Besides losing Bryant, his daughter Gianna was also with him in the accident.
As the Bryant family regrets their loss, it’s nice to see the league live up to its wishes.
The older Bryant was a five-time NBA champion with the Lakers and one of the greatest players in NBA history.
He was an 18-time All-Star and is expected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021.
